Georges Régis

He was THE comprimario of the Paris Opéra between 1909 and 1926. In Marseille, he used "Rey" as a pseudonym; he was in the US already in 1893, and in the 1909/10 Metropolitan Opera season, he sang 26 performances of comprimario parts and concerts (his biggest Met role was Lorenzo in Fra Diavolo) and was announced as having sung "in New Orleans as well as in France". In the 1910/11 season, he sang at the São Carlos of Lisbon.
