Henri Bécourt

Yet another completely undocumented French tenor. From his below discography, it's obvious that he sang in the 1950s and 1960s. What I could find beyond that discography is his participation at the Bordeaux Festival de Musique in 1954; that he was Hans Schwalb in Mathis der Maler in Strasbourg 1951; in 1953, he sang Stravinsky's Cantata in Paris, with Irène Joachim and the RTF orchestra under Marcel Courand; and already in 1948 (the first Bécourt appearance that I could find), he was the Male Chorus in the French premiere of Britten's Rape of Lucretia (or Le viol de Lucrèce, in French translation) at the theater of Mulhouse.

So he seems to have been an expert for 20th century music, and a concert tenor at least as much as an operatic tenor; and he sang a lot on the French radio RTF.
