Georges Genin sings Aida: Ô céleste Aïda
In RA format
Genin studied voice in his native Lyon and also made his debut there. Very quickly, he was hired by the Paris Opéra-Comique (1924), where he made his debut in the small part of Hadji in Lakmé and sang for a few years as a comprimario (Beppe, Frédéric in Mignon, Seaman in Tristan und Isolde, Yamadori and many more).

In 1925, he joined the Paris Opéra, where from 1931 he was cast in main roles: Faust, Duca and Roméo (and after WWII also Radames). Back at the Opéra-Comique, he got to sing Rodolfo, Vincent, des Grieux, Werther, Daniel (Le chalet) or Don José. He sang at both Paris theaters into the 1950s, and gave guest performances in Monte Carlo and Antwerp.

From 1954 to 1970, he taught at the conservatory in Metz.
