In RA format
After studies at the Paris conservatory, he made his debut at the Opéra-Comique on 15 May 1889 as Roland in Esclarmonde. He stayed at that theater for four years, and created Turiddu for Paris there on 25 January 1892. In 1893, he joined the Opéra, making his debut on 6 November 1893 as Vasco da Gama. Over the next five seasons, he sang also Tybalt, Lohengrin and Tannhäuser there. Guest appearances in Monte Carlo (as Faust in Mefistofele and Renaud in Gluck's Armide) and Brussels, both in 1895.

From 1898, he went on as a freelance artist, singing in Bordeaux, Lyon, Toulouse or Nice; in Paris, he appeared at the Théâtre Nouveau (first French Tristan in 1899, with Félia Litvinne) and the Trianon-Lyrique, and also returned to the Opéra-Comique. In autumn 1901, he sang a few performances with the Metropolitan Opera on tour through Canada and the US provinces, but never at the Met proper. He sang at least until 1911.
