Guy Marchal
Born in Paris on 24 October 1932, he started his career in 1951 and retired in 1973.
For the radio, he recorded two aria programs probably in the 1960s, and two operas:
La favorite with Capderou, Marchal, Laffont, Lovano/Hartemann, 4 October 1963
Le roi de Lahore with Mazella, Gabriel, Marchal, Huberty, Lovano/Cloëz, 10 May 1963
As with most French tenors of his generation (a few celebrities aside), details on Marchal's career are almost impossible to come by, but
at least in the 1950s, he sang at the Théâtre des Arts in Rouen, and already on the French national radio, too.
He died in Pontoise on 16 April 2018.
