Now there are considerable gaps in this chronology, so he must certainly have sung more than that. For instance, it's certain
that at some point in the 1890s, he appeared in Saratov; since that's a long way from Italy, I guess he will have sung
elsewhere in Russia, too. Also, it seems that his career was a bit longer than documented by the above chronology, since most
of his recordings were made in 1901.
What leaps immediately to the eye is that he sang exclusively in small theaters: in Bari not at the Petruzzelli but at the
Piccinni, in Venice not at La Fenice but at the Malibran and the Rossini, in Buenos Aires not at the Colón but at the
San Martín, and so on. So it would seem that his voice wasn't big.
