Giorgio Grimaldi singsPagliacci: O Colombina
After studies with Ettore Campogalliani, he made his debut at the Teatro Nuovo in Milano in 1962, as Paolino in Il matrimonio segreto. His career developed very quickly: La Scala, Rome, Bologna, Florence, Palermo, Parma, Trieste, Venice, Torino; and abroad, Vienna Staatsoper, Amsterdam, Lyon, Strasbourg, Prague, Ciudad de México. A purely lyrical tenor, he was at home in the Mozart and belcanto repertory. He also sang, very unusually for an Italian, Bach in concert.
