Sydney MacEwan CD set


A two CD set of his recordings was compiled by Keith Shilcock. A sample of his voice is already available on the site. Father MacEwan wrote an autobiography On the high Cs. His voice was a warm tenor with hints of John McCormack – they were close friends. Do not expect any very high notes. Father McEwan was essentially a communicator transcending vocal descriptions. The first recordings for Parlophone were made when he was 25 years old. The CD contents are as follows:
