Born in the village of Dolgolesye, in the Gomel region of Belorussia.

Having outstanding natural vocal abilities, he received a great schooling from professor Gugo Titz at the Moscow conservatory,
graduating in 1971.
His career as a singer practically started from the participation in the IV International Chajkovskij Competition in 1970. Rudkovskij
was a laureate along with such famous vocalists as Tamara Sinjavskaja, Elena Obraztsova, Evgenij Nesterenko, Zurab Sotkilava.
In 1971, Rudkovskij became a soloist of the Belorussian Opera and Ballet Theater. From 1971 to 1985, he performed such roles as
Lenskij, Simpleton, Alfredo, Duca, Faust, Nadir, Don Ottavio, Almaviva, Rodolfo, Ernesto.
In 1975 he became a laureate of the Maria Canals International Vocalist Competition in Barcelona.
1986–1997, he worked in the I. I. Zhinovich State Folk Academic Orchestra and the "Svjata" Folk Music Ensemble of the
Belorussian Philharmonic. He performed folk songs, Neapolitan songs, compositions of Belorussian composers.
He possessed a voice of a beautiful and rich timbre. Musicality and a high culture of performance were inherent to him.s
