He studied medicine in Vinnytsja (Ukraine), and graduated in 1945. Already during his studies, he sang in amateur troupes, and in 1940 even as a soloist at the Vinnytsja opera theater, where he sang again in 1946/47. From 1947 onwards, he was a member of the Stanislavskij and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theater in Moscow. Last operatic notices about him are from the late 1960s. He also appeared in films. About his death, nothing is known.

His repertory included: Alfredo, Andrij (Natalka Poltavka), Levko, Almaviva, Faust, Lenskij, Pierre Bezukhov, Andrej (Semya Tarasa by Kabalevskij), Lenka & Antonov ("V burju" by Khrennikov).
