Dimiter Berov
Berov began his career in the 1960s in Potsdam (then East Germany); he made his debut as Manrico, which was to become his signature role, he sang it a total of 222 times. In the 1970s, he was a concert singer in Bulgaria, touring also a lot abroad. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, he went to Germany again, ending his career as a chorister in Bielefeld. He also taught in Germany, before retiring to Bulgaria.
