After finishing the musical high school "Mokranjac", he graduated from the department of
singing at the Music Academy in Belgrade in 1960 in the class of J. Stamatović-Nikolić.
Then, he received a scholarship from the Department of Culture and spent a year at the conservatory "Benedetto Marcello" in Venice in the
class of Paola Bononi.
Back in Belgrade, again at the Muzička akademija, he completed his studies in the class of Zdenka Zikova.
He made his debut in 1958 at the opera in Belgrade and stayed there until the end of his career.
He appeared in opera as a guest and in concerts outside Yugoslavia.
In 1972, he started teaching singing at the conservatory in Belgrade. One of his students was Béla Mavrák.
His repertory included: Jenik, Faust, Hoffmann, Don Carlo, Duca, Nemorino, Lenskij, Rodolfo, Canio, Oedipus rex,
Mića (Ero s onoga svijeta), José Manrico, Riccardo, Sergej (Mazepa), Alfredo, Almaviva, Pinkerton, Radames, Werther,
Stojan (Koštana), ...
