Johannes Lükki
In RA format
Johannes Lükki was born July 3rd, 1913 in Narva and died January 11th, 2004 in Tartu. After a relatively late start to his
career, he became a member of the Vanemuine Theater in Tartu in 1942, where he remained active till 1986 (!). A typical house
tenor, he sang a repertory certainly more varied than was salutary for his lyrical voice: not just Almaviva, Alfredo and Duca,
Levko and Vodemon, Cavaradossi, Rodolfo and Faust, but Radames, José, German, Canio, Otello.
He was also a stage director and a rose-grower.
