Edgaras Montvidas
After studying voice in Vilnius, he was in the Young Artists Programme at Covent Garden from 2001 to 2003. An international career ensued, centered around Munich, Frankfurt, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne and Nancy, with further appearances in Brussels, Santa Fe, at La Scala, in Leipzig, Hamburg, Lyon, with the English National Opera, at the Komische Oper Berlin, the Opéra-Comique Paris, in Cincinnati, Zürich, Bergen and lots of other places, in roles ranging from Belmonte, Alfredo, Lenskij or Nemorino to Werther, Hoffmann, Edgardo or Boris in Kát'a Kabanová.
