José Razador

15 March 1935 Châtelineau near Charleroi – 14 November 2017
His parents were Italian. He studied to be a toolmaker. He studied singing at the conservatory in Namur, then in Mons from 1962 to 1964 with José Lens and Jean Lescanne.

He made his debut in 1971 in Liège as Rodolfo.

He made guest appearances at in Marseille, Rouen, Nice, Nantes, Toulouse, Aix-en-Provance, Rochefort, Toulon, Warsaw, Romania, Canada, but the center of his activity was always Liège.

His repertory included: Faust, Werther, Hoffmann, Duca, Fenton, Pinkerton, Cavaradossi, José, Jeník, ...

He was also very successful singing operettas, and as a concert singer.

After retiring, he taught singing at the conservatory in Auvelais.
