Arkadi Bandukow
Born in Russia, he emigrated to Germany in 1990 (that's why he opted for the German transliteration of his name). He settled in the town of
Halberstadt as a chorister at the local theater and a voice teacher. He made it to a considerable Youtube career and to a Guinness Book of
Records entry for a (privately recorded and never commercially issued) CD on which he sings 228 high Cs in 74 minutes. That Guinness record
is what the article from Germany's largest tabloid, the dreaded Bild-Zeitung, is about: they say Pavarotti should come to Halberstadt and
learn from Bandukow how to improve his high C. Well...
