I was unable to find any biographical information on Humberto di Toto. He was certainly South American and, judging by his name, probably from a
family of Italian origin.
In the late 1930s, he sang main roles at the Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile: Radames, Pinkerton (with Hina Spani), and in the opera
Mauricio by Carlos Melo Cruz. From the early 1940s, he was a comprimario at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires for at least 20 years.
