Mario Guggia
Mario Guggia had a long career from at least the 1960s into the 21st century, always as a comprimario. He sang for instance at the Arena di Verona, at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, and in Rome (both at the Teatro dell'Opera and the Terme di Caracalla), but particularly at the Vienna Staatsoper (419 performances from 1967 to 1979) and the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, where he was a fixture from 1961 to 2002. |
