Ants Kollo
He studied electrical science first and worked at the Estonian Academy of Sciences from 1973 to 1980, while already studying voice at the Tallinn conservatory with Hendrik Krumm. He was a soloist at the Tallinn opera from 1980 to 1995, then a chorister at the same theater for four more years, and then a member of the National Estonian Male Choir through 2004. He was essentially a comprimario, singing roles like Missail, the Simpleton, Parpignol, Remendado, Vašek or both Don Curzio and Don Basilio in Nozze, although he appeared also in a few leading roles: Ferrando, Erik, Alfredo, Lenskij. |
