Michel Lanjac
1932 Rouen – 6 May 2013 Rouen
His real name was Michel Lenormand.
He was primarily associated with the Théâtre des Arts in his native Rouen, where he had
also studied voice with Lucienne Vifquain. He also sang in provincial places like Cherbourg or Rochefort-sur-Mer, but also at the
Toulon Opéra – a bit of opera and a lot of operetta, almost exclusively secondary parts (Flavio in Norma, Trin in
Fanciulla del West, Philistine messenger in Samson et Dalila, Gontran in La vie parisienne, Raoul de St-Brioche in Die lustige
Witwe, Emile in Rose-Marie...). His career lasted at least until the end of the 1980s.
