Émile-Frantz Sardet

6 May 1882 Oran – 14 February 1913 Monte Carlo

Sardet made his debut in Lyon during the 1907/08 season, according to Kutsch & Riemens.

He sang at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris from 1908 to 1912. He made one apparance at the Opéra with the Gaîté Lyrique company.

In 1913, he was hired, together with his wife, by Gunzbourg for Monte Carlo, where they both died from food poisoning after a dress rehearsal of Parsifal. He recorded also under the name M. d'Oran or Doran.

Quo vadis on 26 November 1909 as Lydon with Jean Périer, Séveilhac, Codou, Marvini, Martinelli (not Giovanni!), Alberti, Ponzio, Maupas, Audoin, Germat, Mme Marie Lafargue, Mme Alice Vallandri, Mme H. Focké, Mme Lowelly, Mme Peltier-Prudhomme, Mme Capelli, Mme Vibert, Mme Labarthe, Amalou (total 25). Cécile Thévenet, who was sick for the premiere, later sang instead of Mme H. Focké, Féraud replaced Périer three times due to illness.
La favorite on January 27, 1910 (matinée) as Gaspar with Mme Henriette Focké, Mme Kerjean, Granier, Boulogne, Alberti, Jena, Laure; later Delna (for instance: Delna, Kerjean, Boulogne, Affre, Kardec on 8 November) (total 23)
Quo vadis on 27 January 1910 (evening) as Lydon with Mme Lafory, Ovido, Mme Panis, Fernand Baër (total 93). During the run, Mme Aline Vallandri and Mme Lucienne Mantoux sang Eunice.
L'Africaine on 10 February 1910 as Don Alvar with Affre, Noté, Sylvain, Alberti, Delpany, Audoin, Mme Félia Litvinne, Mme Chambellan, Mme Mazli, Amadou (total 49). During the run, Mme Mathilde Comès and Mme Demédy replaced Mme Chambellan; Abonil and Ansaldi replaced Affre; Boulogne took over from Noté.

Don Quichotte on 18 January 1911 as Rodriguez with Mme Lucy Arbell, Marvini, Lucien Fugère, Mme Dehave, Mme Doria Alberti (total 68). During the run, Mme Rynald and Mme de Lafory took over from Mme Lucy Arbell; Shaljapin sang on 4 June with Boulogne, Dousset, Alberti, Archainbaud; in most of the performances, Vanni-Marcoux was Don Quichotte.

Ivan le Terrible on 31 October 1911 as Pope with Mme Marguerite Carré Mme Mazly, Bourbon, David, Boulogne, G. Petit, Delvi, Chacon, Amadou (total 21). During the run, Mme Willaume-Lamber took over from Mme Marguerite Carré.

During the run, Mme Lemaire replaced Mme Danthesse, Mme Germaine Perrier took over from Mme Marcia.
