Imrich Jakúbek was one of the most significant Slovakian singers. He sang in Prešov, Košice, Brno and principally in Bratislava. His best roles were: Cavaradossi, Lukáš (Hubička), Jení, Manrico, Riccardo, Alvaro, Calaf, Canio, Andrea Chénier, Erik, Rienzi and many others.
