After taking private voice lessons in his native Brno, Vojta had his first contract at the German Theater there

stayed until 1959 as a singer, and afterwards as a stage manager until 1972, while also being a voice teacher.
He sang lirico-spinto and some dramatic roles: Turiddu, Jeník, Laca, Tichon, Šťáhlav
(Libuše), Jiří (Jakobín), Dalibor, Max, Erik, Pedro; but also a lot of small roles, which became
his main fare in the 1950s.
