Carl Lawrenz
He sang a few main parts, almost exclusively at Lincoln Opera, which was kind of a Chicago edition of the Amato Opera: Hoffmann, Tamino, Canio, Turiddu, Duca, Don José and, believe it or not, Tosca (not the opera: the role!! he said so on his own website!). Other than that, he was a voice teacher, his most successful pupil being soprano Ailyn Pérez.
I wish to thank Jim Hanrahan for the recording. |
