Frank Patterson
Nicknamed "Ireland's Golden Tenor", which certainly seems exaggerated. He worked in his family's printing shop, and only in 1962 started his vocal studies, which he later completed in Paris with Janine Micheau. He was a concert and oratorio singer, and a specialist for Irish folk music. I didn't find anything re: operatic appearances. He made two films, one of them directed by John Huston (The Dead, 1987 – based on a James Joyce story). |
