Jon Sydney

He returned to his native Australia in January 1982, after many (minimum 15) years with the English National Opera, and got a bad press when singing Pinkerton at the Sydney Opera on his return. In the next few years (through 1985), he appeared, when in his namesake city, at the small suburbian opera theater in Rockdale instead of Sydney's principal opera house.
