As we can see from the above list, the most important part of his career was spent at the San José Opera,
where he was a resident member from 1997 to 2001 only. Twenty years later, the San José Opera still had the following text about
him on their website:
certainly updated after 2001 (perhaps he returned as a guest?), but chronologically much less than useful, with
all those "recent" and "recently", obviously copied and pasted from once current promotional texts obtained from his agency...
Recent performances for Thomas Rolf Truhitte included a guest appearance at the Hawaii Performance Arts Festival in summer of 2009,
the title role in Parsifal with Genova Opera and Siegmund (Die Walküre) with Brazil's Manaos Festival, and the role of Melot
(Tristan und Isolde) with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Recently, Mr. Truhitte was a featured soloist at the Vilar Opera and 2007 Montreal Opera Galas and sang the Das Lied von der Erde

Tour Grant Award.

for Monte Carlo Opera, and Froh (Das Rheingold) for the Canadian Opera Ring Cycle in the summer of 2006.

(Carmen) for Nashville Opera along with former OSJ resident artist Layna Chianakas.
Other recent engagements included the role of Froh (Das Rheingold) for the Seattle Opera Ring Cycle and a debut
with Seattle Opera singing Don José (Carmen).
He made his debut with Virginia Opera in fall 2002 as Siegmund in Wagner's Die Walküre. Mr. Truhitte also appeared as Erik in

Italy, where he also sang in concert with Mirella Freni. Other engagements that season included Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly)
and Florestan (Fidelio) with Virginia Opera and the role of Max in Weber's Der Freischütz in Metz, France.
After his departure from Opera San José in 2001, Mr. Truhitte sang in the Wagner Society of Washington D.C.'s all-Wagner concert

New York City, and then went onto Washington D.C., to sing in the Evelyn Lear/Thomas Stewart Emerging Singers Program concert
at the German Embassy for the Wagner Society. Most recently, Mr. Truhitte received a grant from The Wagner Society of Northern
