Brazzi was born at Troyes. He went to school there and studied at the same time piano, music theory and acting. He studied voice with Georges Jouatte, opera with Roger Bourdin, both had been members of the Paris Opéra, and musical theory with Maurice Franck.

He went on to further study with Rolande Darcœur, who also taught Alain Vanzo.

Brazzi won the tenor category at the Verviers competition and the Caruso prize at the festival of the Voix d'or in Vichy in 1960.

He made his debut at the Concerts Colonne and his operatic debut in 1961 in La traviata at Besançon.

From that time, Brazzi appeared in almost theatres in France, Belgium and Switzerland: Lyon, Marseille, Toulon, Calais, Rouen, Nîmes, Nice, Ghent, Verviers, Liège, Geneva, ...

His repertory included: Madama Butterfly, Boris Godunov, Turandot, Faust, Iphigénie en Aulide, Werther, Roméo et Juliette, La fida ninfa (Vivaldi), Hérodiade, Louise, ...

In 1963, Brazzi sang in I due Foscari for the French radio. In 1964, he replaced André Turp as Julien at the Opéra-Comique and made his debut as Faust at the Opéra.

He perfected his art with Maestro Gaetano Abrami and the baritone Ugo Ugaro. After that, Brazzi took on: Cavalleria rusticana, Aida, Otello, Lohengrin and Pagliacci.

He took part in the premieres of: Columbus by Werner Egk and Sur la grande route by Alfredo Strano at Rouen in March 1969 with Andrée Esposito and Julien Haas; Socrate by Erik Satie in January 1972 at Marseille.

He pursued an international career with Werther (1966, 1969 at Glyndebourne), Louise (Geneva, Monte Carlo in 1970), Les contes d'Hoffmann (Mexico, Madrid), Médée (Lisbon), Werther (Vienna, Amsterdam and Den Haag, Passau festival) and Roméo et Juliette (Wexford).

His last performance was as Canio in 1983 at Nîmes.

After several concerts, he retired and taught singing at a conservatory in the outskirts of Paris.
