Jacques Luccioni
Jacques Luccioni (born 25 January 1930 in Paris) began to study at the Paris Conservatoire, and made his debut in 1956 at the
Opéra-Comique of Paris as Don José in Carmen. In the following years he appeared at the Grand Opéra of Paris,
including roles such as Narraboth in Salome and Dmitri in Boris Godunov. He made guest appearances in the French provinces, in Belgium
and Switzerland.
In 1960 he switched to baritone and took on roles such as Marcello in La bohème, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and
Valentin in Faust. In 1962 he gave up singing and became a theatrical producer.
