Guy Lacairy

Guy Lacairy sang first tenor in operetta and supporting roles in opera during the 1960s and 1970s. He sang, for instance, Ruodi in Guillaume Tell. Lacairy can be found, on this site, under his real name Lacayrerie on an Africaine broadside on the Botiaux page, as well as in Pagliacci with Poncet (Avignon 1960, 1966). Lacairy was also a member of the Toulon opera troupe in 1968/69.
He then completely disappeared. Much later, in the early years of the 21st century, he was a vocal teacher in Nouméa (French Polynesia).
His daughter Maria Daragnes had a career in the 1980s and 1990s. There exists a live recital of her together with Ernest Blanc.
