Minvielle studied voice first in Bordeaux, then at the Conservatoire de Paris and made his debut on 30 September 1902 in a secondary role
in Louise at the Opéra-Comique, where he spent most of his short career. He sang both comprimario and main roles (Vincent,
des Grieux, Don José).
In 1902, he married the young Belgian soprano Andréa Vergonnet (who became later a voice professor at the Conservatoire, where
they had studied together).
Minvielle and Vergonnet spent winter 1904/05 at the Opéra in Algiers; they were about to leave for Brussels, where they already had
a contract with the Théâtre de la Monnaie, when Minvielle died from typhus, at age 27.
