Richard Gsell
A long-term and very important voice teacher at the Berlin University of the Arts. His own career was of limited significance; he sang in the 1960s at smaller German theaters like, for instance, in Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. But he was an excellent, very musical interpreter, and surprisingly Italianate for a German of his generation. I wish to thank Daniele Godor for the pictures and Thomas Gsell for the recording. |
