Fritz Peter
His vocal studies in Winterthur and Zürich took unusually long: ten years, from 1945 to 1955 (one of his teachers was Margherita Perras. He sang in Ulm from 1955 to 1961, and in Zürich from 1961 to the end of his career in 1993. Basically a lyrical tenor, he was able to sing heldentenor parts, as well: already in Ulm, he was Florestan, Max, Riccardo and José. But his main fare were roles like Zéphoris (Si j'étais roi), Don Ottavio, Belmonte, Pedrillo, Tamino, Monostatos, Orphée (Orphée aux enfers), Barinkay, Almaviva, Lindoro, Vašek or David. |
