Martin Ritzmann
After fighting WWII and coming home from Russian war captivity, he studied voice in Erfurt. 1951–54 at the Altenburg theater (debut role: Chapelou), from 1954 at the Berlin Metropoltheater as an operetta tenor, from 1957 or 1958 at the Berlin Staatsoper, where he became a leading member of the troupe: Alfredo, Lenskij, Belmonte, Don Ottavio, Pinkerton, Duca, Riccardo, Don Carlo, Max, Cavaradossi, Radames, Stolzing, Erik, Calaf, Bacchus, Otello, Lohengrin, Kaiser, Canio, José, Manrico... |
