Max Rohr

1875 – 1917 München

He made his debut in Detmold in 1901. Via Landshut and Regensburg, he came to Vienna, where he spent most of his career: at the Carltheater (1905–10), the Raimundtheater (1910–13) and the Johann-Strauß-Theater (1913/14). His last years were spent at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich. Only in his earliest years, he appeared also in opera; then he specialized entirely in operetta novelties. He committed suicide.
