Vittorio De Santis
Vocally short-lived baritone-turned-tenor. Having discovered his voice during WWII military service, De Santis made his debut in 1946 as a baritone. Bernardo De Muro, then a voice teacher, made a dramatic tenor of him and organized his 1949 tenor debut in the USA. Both there and in Europe (primarily in Italy), De Santis spent his career. He retired as early as 1960.
I would like to thank Paolo Cavassini for the recording. |
