Unfortunately Infantino now demonstrates how a good lyrical tenor destroys his voice.

A native of Sicily, he studied voice with Italo Brancucci in Parma, where he also made his debut in 1943 as Rodolfo. His
breakthrough came in the same role, two years later at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. In 1946, he sang Rodolfo and Duca in
London with the San Carlo troupe, and he made his Scala debut as Don Ramiro. He sang a lot at La Scala until 1950 (Alfredo,
Duca, Almaviva, Nadir, Tamino, and the tenor part in Verdi's Requiem), but then never again.
His career took him to Bologna, Rome, Venice, the Arena di Verona, the New York City Opera (numerous performances in 1947),
the Stoll Theatre in London (1949), Bombay (1964), Palermo; concert tours to Australia (1949) and England (1949 and 1957).
From 1950 to 1973, he could regularly be heard on the Italian radio RAI.
