Luigi Marletta
Biographical notes
He was born in 1895 at Cellamonte, a small town near Alessandria. He
studied in Casale Monferrato with Vallaro and at the conservatory of Milan with
Vincenzo Pintorno. He made his debut in 1923 at the Carcano in Milan in Trovatore. He
sang at the S. Carlo in Napoli, at the Regio in Parma, at the Lirico in Rio de Janeiro,
at the Marconi in Buenos Aires, and he was still singing after the end of WWII.
