Rino Oldrati

born Milano 1890

Oldrati probably made his debut in 1922 at Faenza in Norma. It seems that his repertory was mostly limited to Norma and Samson et Dalila.

He was married to Vera Amerighi-Rutili (22 August 1896 Nasacchio – 13 May 1952 Pisa), who was a Norma specialist. This could maybe explain why he sang primarily Pollione.

Strangely, he appears also as "Salvatore Oldrati", although Rino is anything but a diminutive of Salvatore.

Rino Oldrati sings Norma: Deh non volerli vittime, with Vera Amerighi Rutili and Antonio Righetti
