Marius Verdier
He began his career in Dijon in 1896, went to Nantes in 1898, and sang in Antwerp 1900–02, in Nice
1902/03, and in Lyon 1903–07. From 1907 to 1910, he was a member of the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels,
and for the 1912/13 season of the Paris Opéra, where he sang Samson, Tristan, Siegmund, Lohengrin and the elder
Siegfried. After that season, he went back to Lyon, where he was the first French Grigorij in 1913, and sang into the 1920s in
the French provinces as well as at La Monnaie, but also at the Opéra again in 1921 (Loge, Énée, young
Siegfried and Radames).
