Hreinn Pálsson

6 June 1901 Ólafsfjörður – 28 December 1976 Reykjavík

Icelandic singer of the 1920s and 1930s, grown up on the tiny island of Hrísey. He was an amateur, and famous for his rendition of traditional Icelandic music. Certainly a pity that he didn't become a professional opera singer. Instead, he worked in oil trading.
