Ambrosio studied at the conservatories of Morelia and Mexico City, and at the International Opera Studio in Zürich. In 1995,
he moved to Germany, where he sang a lot in Dessau. From 1997 to 1999, he was a member of the troupe in Linz, singing
Duca, Pinkerton and Rodolfo, among other roles. The local audience liked him quite well in Linz.
His official biography lists a lot of theaters where he obviously never sang, although he may have been hired as a cover (for
instance, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, or the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome). Where he definitely appeared is the Teatro
Bellini in Catania (as Pinkerton), and the Regio in Parma (as Cavaradossi). He was also Edgar in the (belated) Austrian premiere
of Puccini's opera in 2008 at the lowest-possible-class open-air festival at the Rossauer Barracks in Vienna.
Ambrosio gave concerts well into the 2020s, but after 2008, I don't find any further opera performances. So probably, that was
when he became a Jewish cantor in Munich (as per an undated entry in his biography), and so he quit the stage.
