He studied accountancy and worked in that field before having his voice trained. He made his debut in May 1992 as Normanno in Lucia di
Lammermoor in his native Monterrey. The major part of his career took place in the USA: in Houston, Palm Beach and Sarasota. But he also
sang at the Ópera de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, in Los Angeles or in Graz. He was a comprimario until 1995, then he switched to main
roles: Duca, Roméo, Turiddu, Calaf, Radames, Don Alvaro, Corrado (Il corsaro), Federico (L'arlesiana), Pinkerton, Don
José. He was already retired from stage and a voice teacher in Monterrey when he died after a long battle against cancer.
